Who To Call
The Riley Center operates a 24 hour hotline which is answered by trained peer
counselors. The staff and volunteers provide survivors, family and friends
with support, crisis counseling, domestic violence information, and resources
in the community. Calling the hotline is a good way to begin exploring your
feelings and options - you can remain anonymous and you don't have to be
in immediate crisis. If a woman wants to come to Rosalie House, she can
find out if the shelter has space and then do an intake over the phone with
one of the counselors. The intake usually takes about 20 minutes.
